UNAM - The National Autonomous University of Mexico

The National Autonomous University of Mexico (Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México) (UNAM) is a public university based primarily in Mexico City and is generally considered to have the largest enrollment among universities in the Americas. UNAM was founded on 22 September 1910 by Justo Sierra as a liberal alternative to the Roman Catholic-sponsored Royal and Pontifical University of Mexico (founded on 21 September 1551 by a royal decree of Charles I of Spain and brought to a definitive closure in 1867 by the liberals). UNAM's autonomy, granted in the 1920s, has given it the freedom to define its own curriculum and manage its own budget without interference from the government. This has had a profound effect on academic life at the university, which some claim boasts academic freedom and independence.

The UNAM Faculty of Medicine (Spanish:Facultad de Medicina) is the responsible of imparting studies of medicine in the UNAM, it holds Undergraduate and Graduate studies, the later ones being some of them joint teaching with some other faculties, most commonly the Faculty of Science. Is one of the most recognized faculties in the University and in the country, and the 2 latest rectors of the university have been former deans from this faculty.

This University actually has no price, because is given by the Mexican Government for its population.
They only require $20 pesos (2 dolars) per month, it's almost free, but they have a huge preference for the ones with the lowest resources. Also you need to have a great average, the ones in private school have low priorities than the ones in public schools.
